Being vegan is insanely expensive unfortunately...
-
If animals don't want to be eaten, they should stop tasting so good. Being Vegan is spitting in the face of God. Every continent on the globe there are animals that are innately made for carrying us, hunting for us, protecting us. Why wouldn't they also be here to nourish us?

I don't think you guys are looking at the whole picture. Sometimes being vegan isn't an option. I live in a family where everyone eats meat every meal of the day and my step dad and sister won't go near 99% of vegetables. I am the only vegetarian in my immediate family and there is only one other vegetarian in my whole family. And you know what? I constantly get made fun of by my family, they pick on me constantly about being vegetarian and whenever I say that I don't care where we go they always throw back at me that they have to find somewhere that I can eat because I make their lives harder. If I was vegan they'd actually let me starve because on several occasions my step father has told me that he would stop buying groceries for me and he wouldn't cook for me. I'm 16 years old and I don't have a job, or my license. I've been vegetarian for a year but on some occasions I had to eat meat. And you know what? I had to for my health the other week because I passed out from lack of nutrition and water and the only source of protein in the whole building was from meat. Sometimes people remain vegetarian for health reasons or for family reasons. And I'm currently in nursing right now and I can tell you that as a vegan just from what you eat you don't get the full amount of nutrition you need so if you suddenly can't get the supplements for the things that occur only in meat/dairy/poultry then you won't be able to survive. That's another thing, money. I don't know if you've noticed but in a LOT of stores it's actually insanely cheaper to buy meat/dairy/poultry than the vegan options and where I live there's no vegan food and soy milk and almond milk are way more expensive than milk with lactose in it. It's hard enough on me just with being vegetarian, everyone in my life constantly ridicules it and tries to get me to eat meat so stop with the being rude to vegetarians because it doesn't HELP those situations.

I went vegetarian this June, and right now I'm transitioning to veganism. I give it up on you guys, it IS really hard stopping to eat cheese, but as soon as I find some good cheese supplements in any local supermarkets (I live in Germany to be exact, so I don't know how to get some of the vegan versions and supplements that are shown channels and blogs from mostly american vegans), I'll transition completely🎉! I never liked eggs a lot anyway and almond and vanilla-soy milk are waaaay tastier and easier to drink 😝. I feel so good morally and healthwise since I'm eating more veggies and fruits 😊.

I've really been considering transitioning from being a pescetarian to veganism especially since I started a course on environmental ecology in school. I didn't even know how bad eating fish was for the environment before this.

I was vegetarian for 8 years before becoming vegan. I didn't know about the dairy and egg industries' cruelty until my second year of college when I got my first Facebook account and followed Mercy for Animals.
But even then, I didn't really understand the full extent of it. I didn't watch the video footage. I just saw the pictures and headlines. All I really understood was that chickens were kept in inhumanely small spaces.
I cut back on eggs, but it was kinda complicated for me because I lived on campus all through college and I was actually required to buy the school's meal plan if I wanted to live on campus. Some days the only vegetarian option they'd have would be green beans. So I didn't want to limit my options further.
Perhaps even more importantly, the first 3 years of college were extremely difficult for me emotionally. I was barely getting through every day. Quite honestly, at that point in time, I don't think I could have made a huge change like moving out of the dorms and going vegan. I could have done it when things got easier in my 4th or 5th years of college, and boy do I wish I had. But I still didn't really understand the cruelty of eggs and dairy.
I didnt understand until I found Freelee's videos where she kept sneaking in footage of animal cruelty in her responses to celebs. (Which is why I think Freelees methods are extremely effective, regardless of some of the shadier things she's done.) That was just a few weeks before I graduated. The day after I finished my classes I went vegan.
So I think it's extremely important to watch the the video footage in order to understand the cruelty of the dairy and egg industries. -
Love this!

Y'all needs to stop hopping on people's dicks and pussies because of what somebody wants to do. What are guys doing for self besides being vegan??? You need to worry about your own selves, instead of worrying who's vegan and who is not vegan. Trust me, they meat, dairy and egg industries will all ways be here, you are not God, everything happens for a reason, it's probably meant for animals not to have regular lives. Now if you want to eliminate the problem,.that is amazing but it will always be industries like that out here. It' s other things that need improvement in this world and worrying about someone's personal preference is not going to do anything. Everyone just needs to mind their own fucking business. My diet is nobody's fucking business, so you can assume all you want.

great video! I feel lucky that I've never liked dairy and have always HATED the taste of cheese. Everyone thinks I'm an alien for disliking cheese in my Italian family, but it made it that much easier to become vegan. Also, I just went on a road trip to Colorado and had to pass so many cows :( I saw one get snow on its face and I thought it was so cute! I believe another reason people don't mind eating cows or pigs is that they "aren't cute" ALL ANIMALS ARE BEAUTIFUL and deserve love and respect. Thanks Natasha and Luca.

After watching your videos, other vegan youtubers videos, and watching many documentaries about veganism and plant-based diets I became intrigued and began my own research. After many months of researching I decided to give up meat products (fish, cow, chicken, pig, etc.). I have not eaten meat for about seven months now. I made this decision mainly based on the research I did linking to the health and planet pros of giving up meat and wanting to see if my body would react differently if I didn't have meat products. Surprisingly I felt no different going off of meat, so I decided to continue.
I think the main reason I don't eat solely plant-based meals is convenience and availability. I'm a fourth year university student living in the prairies in Canada. All of my family and friends, to my knowledge, eat meat and many hunt. I live in a small town half the time and in a small city the other half. While the city does have vegetarian options for eating out, it is very limited for purchasing vegan snacks and food in the stores (besides fruit and vegetables there aren't vegan-based substitutes). I usually opt for almond milk and rarely eat eggs. However, it seems almost everything I can find in store or while eating at others houses has dairy or egg in it (sweets, noodles, cheese, etc.). Which has made eating a plant-based diet for me seem unlikely.
For the reason I do not have a vegan lifestyle would be feeling overwhelmed. I don't shop online. At the store I used to buy M.A.C. and L'Oreal but now opt for wet n wild because it is the only cruelty-free product available in-store. I know Peta has lists of vegan products but find that most you have to buy online. I am not a person who enjoys shopping for clothing at all so normally my mom just buys things, brings them home, and I try them on and buy them off of her if I like it.
I know that veganism is the healthiest, most ethical and positive for the planet so ideally I would like to make the switch completely. If anyone has practical advice that would be greatly appreciated. #nohateplease
Side-note check out the movie Trolls: it is about a group of creatures called the Bergens who believe the only way to achieve happiness is by eating Trolls. Two trolls, Poppy and Branch, go on a mission to rescue their troll friends. It is a good lesson in how one voice can bring change. Made me think about the relation to people who eat meat versus vegetarian meals and/or plant-based meals. -
I am currently vegetarian have been for almost a year, I would go vegan in a heartbeat but as a 13 year old girl in a family full of meat eaters sadly it would never happen, they still don't agree with me excluding meat from my diet so I could only imagine what would happen if I went vegan haha
-
Not related to the topic of the video, but it's been so sad to see your views going down since YT changed its algorithm. It seems to be negatively affecting so many vegan & alternative media channels 😔
-
Cuz she's young. And still has some growing and understanding to do. She is already doing a lot and it's great that she is at least vegetarian
-
being vegetarian is a great step. I hate it when people criticize others for not being vegan even though they are vegetarian. Being vegetarian is still better than not being vegetarian.
-
vegan cheese sucks. well there's only two brands in my country (I live on an very small island mind you).... I tried so hard to like them but it just tastes weird and bad. cheese keeps me from going vegan. yes it does. i found alternatives to everything but cheese :/
-
im currently vegetarian, and i never really eat eggs, maybe once a week or less, but i do eat cheese most days. i'd say two out of three of my meals every day are vegan, but one meal usually involved cheese and i eat chocolate as a snack too. main reason i dont eat vegan cheese is because it tastes bad and its more expensive. also, if im eating out, or getting a sandwich from the supermarket, all they ever seem to sell thats vegan is falafel and hummus which i dont like. so i normally go for an egg or cheese sandwich, or a tomato pasta. long answer but there you go! i do aim to go vegan eventually because i know its the right thing to do.
