when growing tomatoes/cucumbers/peppers in greenhouses especially in traditionally off season months how do they get pollinated to produce fruit?
-
Do you know if he has maps of his property?
-
Man, the rain is pouring. Keep the videos coming, Curtis. These are great.

Apologies for the very unfair comment. Have respect and support for what your doing. Great steps toward moving away from excessive intensive tillage, inclusion of water management systems e.c.t . What i should of said is that it SEEMS TO LOOK LIKE like the system is still high input both energy for heating, fertility replacement and technology. it would be great to hear more about fertility replenishment/management. I would like to hear more about carbon levels per kilor e.c.t. Adaptability of heating systems to other small scale growers that do not have high levels of investment~?
What type of system is going to product non high profit crops? why not make less profit and grow a wider diversity of crops providing wider range of nutritional elements for your customer? Investment into storage for staples? what about challenging the very well known fact that organic food is not accessible to all with good business?
N.B You also cannot claim your not using a tractor as the system still depends on a two wheel tractor and also a 4 wheel tractor for movement of heavy products and tillage.

this is just industrial farming.

For anyone interested in reading up a bit on ramial wood chips, check out Will Bonsall's Essential Guide to Radical, Self- Reliant Gardening: chapter 3. Very informative and interesting!!
Awesome video, Curtis!! Hope to see more of Jean-Martin and his kick ass farm!! :) -
Would you still use a broadfork, or if you already have a tractor (and if the wheel base fit) would use a subsoiler (like yeomans or something) instead?
-
Can I find somewhere what is in the hedgerows the types of plants etc :)
-
I never ask Curtis a home garden question as his farm is different. High value, high productions crops only and that is understandable with his way of farming.
-
What plants has he put in the hedgerow?
-
Awesome
-
Thank you very much for asking/answering my question on field margin IPM. It's exciting stuff. Would be interested to know how it progresses with the hedgerows effects, there's some great research going on in these ideas right now :)
-
Thankyou - and JM. Trouble is i just want more !! - growing, but more also about processing large volumes and his solutions...
-
Great Video ! But what do you think about working with horses for such easy tasks like bringing out the compost? Even more resilient, no diesel, no machine, no sound of a machine ... ok, clearly more work - but I think clearly more joy!
-
Curtis, JM, I have a serious issue of small black ants attacking just about everything I try to grow - the pressure is great and the only thing I've found that even some close to allowing for some management of this pressure is Terro Outdoor - do you have this issue and if so, what do you do to control attacking ants.
-
Awesome! Thank you both :)
-
I love the hedge rows!
-
Curtis, thank you so much for being such a great advocate for market gardening! Would you address the soil overhaul strategy that JM mentioned? Thanks again, great video, as always!

great video
