This video about the Klein, Texas Historical Foundation and the Wunderlich Farm is an opportunity to learn about the history of Klein, Texas. Photographs from the early days in Klein ISD paint the picture of life in the late 1800s and early 1900s as German settlers found their way to the banks of Cypress Creek to farm and raise cattle. As the area known as Klein, Texas began to grow, the small rural schools consolidated into one district called, Rural High School #1. In 1938, the district was renamed Klein Independent School District. To preserve the heritage of the area, the Historical Foundation was formed and a few of the original family homesteads are part of the Wunderlich Farm. Tours of the museum, farm houses and the Kohrville schools are provided on one Saturday each month to the public and daily to designated grades at the elementary schools. Children learn about life in rural Klein on a field trip as they study Texas history in Klein schools.
