Washington State University Snohomish County Extension Compost in Agriculture Outreach Project. In 2011-2012 on-farm compost research and demonstration trials were conducted in Snohomish County, WA. The goal of this project was to give farmers an opportunity to use compost on their crops, conduct the research needed to validate the use of compost in agriculture, and create a sustainable market for returning landscape and food waste energy to local farms.
