Farms: World's 'biggest push' for wind power in China

1. To what I could see in this very brief footage, China has a startling problem with managing Health&Safety issues in working areas: people under suspended load; no high visibility vests on the construction site, nor people with regular harnesses for working at high, etc.
   I don't struggle in believing that they can erect two WTG per day, the point is how many people had an incident (accidents or near miss) during these tasks.

3. These grim industrial landscapes are trending all over the world. Wind power is blighting more scenery than anything I can think of, and mealy-mouthed liars keep calling it Green.
4. Goodbye Chinese landscapes. I hope they put them as close to cities as possible instead of the massive turbine sprawl we see elsewhere. Rural lands are being destroyed for city power customers, with energy that's intermittent and will always need traditional power plants as backup.

   Spanish wind farms kill 6 to 18 million birds & bats a year
   
   On 12 January 2012, at the First Scientific Congress on Wind Energy and Wildlife Conservation in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, the Spanish Society of Ornithology (SEO/Birdlife) made public its estimate that, yearly, Spain’s 18,000 wind turbines may be killing 6 to 18 million birds and bats (1). The average per turbine comes down to 333 – 1,000 deaths annually, which is a far cry from the 2 – 4 birds claimed by the American wind industry, or the 400,000 birds a year estimated by the American Bird Conservancy for the whole United States, which has about twice as many turbines as Spain.
7. Scottish White-tailed Eagle killed by wind turbine
   
   It is reported that a male Sea Eagle known as Red T, which was released into the wild in Fife in 2011 as part of the East Coast Sea Eagle project was killed by a wind turbine in February this year.
   
   The bird was fitted with a radio-tracking device which aided discovery the bird’s carcase below a wind turbine in the Ochils.
   
   Post mortem tests showed that the most likely cause of death was collision with the turbine blades.

8. the world need this kind of push!! we need renewables now!!
9. Stupid question, but why are the blades not spinning? At 3:50, you can hear the wind and see it blowing the flag, but the turbines are still.
