Workers at a Wisconsin dairy farm are under fire for abusing animals. The four workers, who were seen on an undercover video allegedly abusing cows, have been charged with 11 counts of animal cruelty. An undercover investigator with animal rights group Mercy for Animals got a job at Wiese Brothers Farm, then used a hidden camera to catch employees in the act of stabbing, beating, kicking and otherwise abusing the farm's cattle. I'm glad to see the animal cruelty charges stick at these factory farms ~ I know we kill livestock by the billions, barring a mass conversion to vegetarianism, finding a humane way to do it is a must. Also, the `ad gag` laws that prevent people from recording video at farms need to be repealed ~ they're an affront to first amendment rights.
