Say goodbye to your grouse and pheasants - they wont nest anywhere near those turbines - lesser prairie chickens are endangered and this is one of the causes

The big problem with wind power is of course that it doesn't give you the power you need when you need it. Wind power can't be stored. A cold 25th of december when everybody in the country is about to cook the turkey it might be windstill, then you won't get any electricity no matter how many turbines you've got. On the other end of the spectrum you might have a perfect day for generating power but then no one wants it so it's wasted.

Yes its because the anti-science and anti-AGW groups like Koch funded Marshall Institute and denier sites are using classic spam like methods for getting high on e.g. Google searches. You have the same with e.g. images for "global temperatures" and you get a ton of denier site graphs with manipulated data and false conclusions (even pasted on the images themselves). Its a well executed mis-information campaign. Read e.g. "Merchants of Doubt" by Naomi Oreskes to see the people behind this.

I went to look up why wind turbines are spaced they way they are, and Google's top queries for wind turbines are why they are bad, and why wind farms are bad. Disturbing.

This guy is wrong about the number of wind turbines at Whitelee's @2:09 he says theres 50 turbines..theres 215 and l'm sure theres a third phase that will add an additional 5-6 turbines making it the largest onshore wind farm in the UK

I am all for Scottish "energy" independence! Tesla, Nissan, and Renault's electric cars should dominate the Scottish auto market (hopefully, without too much government subsides and assistance).
