1. This video is stupid however true of a point it's making, it's really over complicating the notion so that it's almost counter-productive.    Jealousy is a complex series of emotions, and grown-ass adults can negotiate those emotions if they set their mind to it (as opposed to chucking your toys out of the pram and running into your bedroom screaming "me me me me"). Learning how to deal with it will teach you more about yourself and humans in general, and you'll have a more rewarding and happy life.

   If you are truly interested in shunning the status quo and are fortunate enough to live in a place where you have the freedom to do so, (And assuming your moral code isn't in any opposition) don't lose sight of the fact that as far as your society is concerned, you're a weirdo. Just accept that straight away because while modern society is constantly throwing back to it's polyamorous roots, games have been made of the process to allow people to pretend they are in fact monogamous. The key in most cultures today is to keep only one spouse at a time, and if there are affairs they are generally kept quiet. So even if the reality of your experience puts you in a more committed circumstance then the hypocrits who would shun you, it is still you who are challenging societies norms, and you'll need to be sensitive to how people around you may feel about that.
   According to genetic research, the majority of human history was built on polygyny, (One man with multiple lovers) and the rules varied from culture to culture. While Sociology tells us there ARE known cases of Polyandry (One woman with multiple husbands) as a society norm, these are rare and short lived. Like most of the Animal world, males will fight over their mates, often to the death.
   Even in a full time Patriarchal Polygyny household, however - Women will generally require autonomous space.

If some people want to be polyamorous then that's their choice and best wishes to them but they would not be a compatible partner for a person like myself who does not want a poly relationship. Your relationship preferences are no more valid than my relationship preferences. Preferring only one partner at a time does not mean we're anymore likely to be jealous than a polyamorous person despite what you try to "teach" people using this video. The key is honest communication and understanding the reality that what works wonderfully for one person is a deal breaker for another. To each their own.
