Another one bites the dust. It was sad to see another farmer go out of business in our area. This time it was Visalli Farms. The Visalli's are close family friends of ours and we have known them for a very long time. They are one of the bigger farmers in southern New Jersey. I have posted a few videos featuring their trucks and tractors (I will post links to those videos in the annotations). Their farm had been going through a decline the past couple years and 2013 was the worst growing season they've ever had. Long story short the two brothers who we are friends with, the owners of the operation, decided to close up shop and auction everything off. The brothers were avid John Deere and Ford owners and took good care of their equipment that they used to grow tomatoes, peppers, soybeans, and wheat. The auction was hosted by Pirrung Inc. These were the same guys who auctioned off Zee Orchards last April. Here is a list of the equipment that sold. 1992 Peterbilt 377 Road Tractor w/ 3406B CAT Engine - 0:25 1994 Ford L8000 w/ 5.9 12-Valve Cummins - 3:22 1971 Ford F-700 w/ 330 V8 - 5:01 John Deere 4720 Sprayer - 6:24 John Deere 9650 STS Combine - 8:06 John Deere 7830 - 14:48 John Deere 8300 - 16:13 John Deere 6430 - 17:22 John Deere 6400 - 18:34 John Deere 7410 Hi-Crop - 19:34 Massey Ferguson 35 - 21:02 Pik-Rite Tomato Harvester - 21:35 Some of the equipment also included hundreds of skids of "layflat" trickle irrigation hoses, irrigation pipe, vegetable bins, irrigation pumps with John Deere and Cummins diesels, 16 grain trailers, a Peterbilt 335 tri-axle dump truck, a JD cultivator, two Case IH grain drills, and a John Deere MaxEmerge planter.
