Your food assistance benefits can be used at nearly 100 farmers' markets around Ohio to purchase food products and seeds. Learn more by watching this video and visiting jfs.ohio.gov. _________________________________________ Transcript If you receive Food Assistance, you can use your Ohio Direction Card to buy fresh, healthy, locally grown food at nearly 100 farmers’ markets around Ohio. It’s easy. Look for signs that say Food Assistance, SNAP, EBT or Ohio Direction Card. Use your Ohio Direction Card to buy tokens. Then use those to make your purchases. You can save leftover tokens for your next visit or ask for a refund. Just like at the grocery store, you can buy most food products with your benefits. Some markets offer discounts to customers using the Ohio Direction Card. Accepting food assistance at farmers’ markets is good for families, good for communities and good for Ohio’s farmers.
