Farms: Turkey in 60 Seconds

This is how your Thanksgiving dinner is really made. Can you stand to watch just one minute of it? Virtually all of the more than 300 million turkeys killed every year for food (more than 45 million for Thanksgiving alone) are raised on squalid factory-style farms. And almost all turkeys raised for their meat will meet a gruesome end at a slaughterhouse, where workers will shackle them upside down by their legs, electrocute them, cut their throats, and sometimes even scald them to death. yeah well, Tofurky tastes like shit so...
-
Hmm..... Could punch the turkeys less and raise them right then put them to sleep before slaughtered so there is less pain
-
Showed this to my family and they are making Tofurkey feast instead of turkey this Thanksgiving :) An innocent bird didn't have to be slaughtered for our household :)

I am going vegan

Damn right I had turkey last year. A lovely wild turkey hen taken in fair chase. I saved the tom I took for Yule. This spring, got two more. Most of the meat I eat is either wild game caught in fair chase or from smaller homestead style farming operations where I can be sure that good ethical practices are being followed. When you have factory farming, the only thing that is cared for is the money. If you eat meat - hunt and fish for it - support wildlife habitiat restoration with your tax dollars. Buy local if you can't hunt. Keep the antibiotics and hormones out of our livestock and out of ourselves.

Why can't they just kill them fast? I don't want my food being touched by a foot ew

This is sad

The problem is not eating meat wasn't ever , the problem is the quantity of meat normally consumed by the average people nowadays , I don't like that I eat meat daily it's mostly fish which is less of effect , but fish although it doesn't seen to share the same harm of daily eating animal or bird meat but it's still sharing the problem of quantity, so the problem of quantity lead to the problem of overproduction , and the problem of capitalism lead to the problem of fast food and making it cheaper for a harmful satisfying burger to reach your hands than a single cucumber , so these problems needs to be addressed in the right way , because being vegan is not the solution myself I'll never stop eating meat when it's found , I may even not eat meat all year round except once just for the sake of not being a vegetarian , I believe that a normal healthy human being should not exceed a 5 monthly intake of meat , it's so funny that some vegans are still drinking cola or donuts and pizza sauce all other harmful mass produced foods . My advice if you are going to eat just eat what is clearly raw and natural and cook the way that pleases you and stay away from any food that man hands has modified it
