Triple Island Cheese Farm, from Cherryville in the Okanagan sold us a cheese knife when Mark & I went to Kelowna to the Saturday Market in January. Sad to say the cheese knife cut wonky - burs on the blade : ( so I contacted the owner asking if they'd send me a new one & I would mail mine back.
No, she said, we're here at the market every Saturday. I explained it was an hours drive but decided then not to fuss. When we went back 2 weeks later, they weren't there, so I called them from Kelowna & asked them again to send me a knife cos I'm here and you're not.
No, she said, they're in Kelowna every Saturday, except today. When we got home we called again. No answer. Left a msg. No call back. So we mailed the knife back to Triple Island Cheese Farm & suggested that if they could not send a new knife, just send a refund cheque.
2 months later,… Nothing. … And not worth the fuss,… however, I will share,… because I abhor unprofessionalism and dishonesty.
My current cheese knife, held together with a broccoli elastic is just gonna have to hang on a long while longer! I've had this knife for 20+ years (thanks Mom for bringing me one from Holland!). It still slices like heaven!
