He's very kind to her. I like his manner with the animals :)

Can you tell me why you're laying her down? Is that easier/safer? Also, I got 4 goats that were trimmed twice since I got them 3 years ago. I had my farrier try the first time then a vet came out and did it for me another time. I have asked people in my area to help me but there are no goat farriers. I got trimmers and am ready to try myself as I feel horrible about it. I also have 2 horses that get their feet trimmed every 6 weeks. So the guilt about my goats is killing me. They are all Lamanchas. I believe 3 are mini and one is a huge cross. He's as big as a pony. 1 of the mini Lamanchas was never handled and wild when she came to me. Now she lets me pet and hold her but I have to grab her first. So I'm especially afraid of her as she fainted the first time I tried to grab her a few years ago. HELP!

love your videos. Where can I get the tools

I'm sorry, but you should not have to force a goat to lay down to trim her feet. She should be comfortable on a stand getting this done. If she has to be laid down, it means that she is not handled as often as she should be, or that her feet are not being trimmed nearly frequently enough, and she is not used to it! She should be comfortable with trims, it's a regular maintenance thing... Also, I think you're not cutting enough hoof for a good trim. I would take off a lot more on the tip :)

You're not a professional, you're a dumb bitch.

Goats have 4 not 3 stomachs. Normal sized goats should be done standing up, lifting up one foot at a time.

What is the last resort if hoof get harder then what it was shown in this video? Is there any other way or tools to cut that kind of hard hoof?
