Anthony "Tony" Padelskas had a tobacco farm in the Connecticut Valley in East Granby from the 1920's to the 1970's. They grew wrapper tobacco. The started with horse drawn power and then got a succession of John Deere tractors. Three sons went off to WWII and all returned, Tony and Joe in the US Army and Leon in the US Marines on Iwo Jima. My grandpa Tony was a well known farmer in the Granby Windsor Locks area.
