In July, 2013 I had an opportunity of visit 5 large dairy farms in China. The dairy industry is expanding rapidly and are borrowing a lot of technology from the U.S. The farms ranged in size from 500 to 10,000 cows plus replacements with 305 day milk production up to 22,000 lb. All these farms have anaerobic digestion, most imported alfalfa hay from the U.S.
