This farm is only 5 or 6 km from my house and we drive by it every time we go to town but this is the first time we went in for a look. The owner and is wife are very nice people and have a nice job building this place from the ground up over the last 2 years.

We have a Mushroom Farm in Sakon Nakhon Thailand making both of these mushroom types. we have 6 mushroom houses. If you want to come and learn in English or Thai you can search "Mushroom Farm Sakon Nakhon" in Google to find us. We are the first listing "Phosi"

Now this is an interesting topic. The Thai are great with mushroom but nobody understands Thai.. Very well.

Very much appreciated you sharing the vid. And you did it well. I live in Lampang, have been to see 5 or 6 growers, including one very big outfit in Saraburi where spent 4 days with an older Thai gent who loves researching new strains and various production systems. If I were closer I'd really enjoy meeting up and checking out this guys stuff - all the more impressive when you say he has only been doing it for 2 years.

I like to visit this place. How to get there please ?

I think the mushrooms are 60 baht a KG at the market. I really like this guys set up, He took a piece of land with nothing on it and in 2 years made a nice little business out of it, I would call this a success story for this area. I was at a new garden a few days ago where an ex cop is growing asparagus, All organic and very delicious, he is hopping to sell it for export. Local price is 60 baht per KG and export is 160. Video coming soon on that one. Good luck with your land.

Thank's for an interesting, good and inspiring vid! I just got some land from "por" 4 rai and looking around for something to grow there. Mushrooms I could grow next to our house so I think I have to watch this vid several times! How much per kilo mushrooms at market? Looking forward to new work from you! ;-)

Great video. Even if you had the right conditions, how many bags would it take to have enough for a meal every two or three days? I guess the wife could give away any extra to family and friends. Thanks.

very interesting!

Since everything else was food related I wonder if they were Vanilla Orchids.
-
yes definitely, just wondering why it is so dense there - here they plant the teak trees usually in bigger distance, as per my experience. Most probably they grow the trees on this mushroom farm not as high as here.

Fantastic video! I've actually looked into growing mushrooms in this manner. It's not difficult (when you learn the tricks), and not expensive to get started (on a smaller scale). Those appear to be oyster mushrooms (one of the easiest to grow). In the US they go for about ten bucks a pound!

That is helpful, thanks again!

Brilliant! That was really interesting and was over far to soon...so I watched it twice. Best Wishes, Brendan.

I'm always so happy to see people doing well. All farming is very tough on your body though. I hope they have some help.
