Sea Change, Tree Change & Hill Change The property that I am selling is located at Coffs Harbour and is a mix of both Coast and Country. It is a unique property in many ways. There are fantastic views, which I call 24 hour views, as when the sun goes down, the lights of Coffs Harbour and suburbs come on. The views from the house extend from Coffs Harbour to Sawtell, approx 12 kms. However, at the top of the property you can see South West Rocks (80 kms away) and the light from Smoky Cape Lighthouse. Being only 5 kms from the centre of Coffs City and 7 kms from the Pacific Ocean, you can see the Humpback Whales making their migration North and South during the months from June to November. Closer to home there is something special every day and every month seems to have an exciting natural event occurring. January has cicadas and water dragons, February has Pheasant Coucals, Butcher Birds and Wallabies, March has Kookaburras in abundance, lots of butterflies, April has lots of owls, Tawny Frogmouths, Pardalotes which make their nests in the dirt bank behind the house, May has the Superb Blue Wrens, lots of Black Cockatoos, June is the beginning of Whale watching which you can do from your bed as their spouts light up in the early morning like a white candle, July has luminous fungi especially after rain and it is easy to see as it glows eerily along the road, August has the Eastern Whipbird and his mate calling to each other, Finches, King Parrots and frogs croaking at the dams, September has the Dollar Birds returning from New Guinea, Superb Blue Wrens flying up to the kitchen windows and the beginning of the Firefly season, October sees the Jacarandas and Flame Trees flower all over Coffs Harbour and along the shared private road, also the Silky Oaks are in flower attracting the Regent Bower birds to their blossoms, November sees the smaller Kingfishers, micro bats and the reappearance of the Water Dragons and December has the Caramel or Honey Trees (Native Hydrangea), Spangled Drongos, Echidnas, large lizards and Wallabies as well as the cicadas going again. All through the year we have Koalas, the Lyre birds imitating all sorts of calls, the Llewellyns Honeyeaters, Rosellas, Red Browed finches, Black Cockatoos, Catbirds, Wedge Tailed Eagles, Swallows, Kookaburras, Spangled Drongos, my favourite the Regent Bowerbird and many others. This 7.668 Ha (19 acre) block has it's own Wildlife Refuge ("Top Of The Range Wildlife Refuge") and a 20 year Conservation Agreement over the Koala Habitat and Modelled Fauna Corridor Environmental Protection land. This land hosts Sub Tropical Rainforest, Tallowwood, Brushbox, Turpentine, Native Tamarind, Bangalow Palms, Native Grape Vine, Forest Oak and a host of other species. The rest of the land is Organic land certified by NASAA and can be used for agriculture. The soils are great and there are several fruit trees in production as well as bird attracting shrubs and trees. The house has 3 large bedrooms with built in robes or walk in robe, ce...
