This video is scary. These women seem nice but they don't seem to know how horrific what they are doing is. Or if they are aware it is insulting to peoples intelligence. She even says that they leave the farm at 2 years old (still a young animal) for BEEF. and end up in the supermarket!!!!!?????!!!!! No mention of what happens to the dairy cows at 5 or so years old when they are too ruined to be milked any more. These women believe their own story. I guess they have to because to admit how cruel this practice is they would have to see all that blood on their hands just for a few $$$$$ and their lifestyle. Is it really worth that horrific cruelty? Humans are the only species that drink another species milk - and all throughout ADULTHOOD. Pure insanity.

Do you take the calves off the mothers when they are born to take the milk? So would you send your own kids to slaughter? You take really good care of them. Until you don't.. Then how much do you care about them?? Give us that 'TRUTH'. You are still only telling half "The TRUTH about dairy farming"

This is just the truth about many farmers for this as it is the few ignorant pathetic fools that abuse them.
The main problem is their damn moaning about the drop in milk price but real kiwis know that as with most things world greed is the problem and global warming. It used to be the North Island are for dairy farming but global warming has since let the south island get better grass and as the profits increased those ignorant south islander farmers and businesses all dumped their sheep and beef cattle to change to dairy and they made huge profits for several years. But unlike the kind helpful caring older farmers these new types never save up for hard times and problems. The hassle they now moan about is just spoilt pathetic brats wanting a government handout again but the majority of real kiwis feel they can go to hell. I don't even drink the processed milk that is falsely pushed but bio-farmed natural milk which the cow owners make me so proud of them! -
So the cows are treated well in your care, and then passed on to god knows who to be slaughtered and possibly abused? But you don't know who is mistreating the animals, so were supposed to buy dairy products and just hope the animals aren't abused? There is no way of any member of the public knowing what farm their milk comes from when they pick it up in the supermarket. I'd rather stay vegan and get my calcium and protein from plant sources (beans, chickpeas, nuts, lentils, soy milk, almond milk, seeds, tofu, meat alternatives, etc) instead of just hoping that I'm not supporting cruelty because some farmers are good and some are bad. I appreciate that you treat your animals well and that is clearly shown here as that cow is very friendly with you two! But then you're selling him to be killed?

May I ask, what part of New Zealand is your farm?
