Productivity | Information | History | View | Quality
A repurposed meatpacking building is becoming a sustainable vertical farm that's completely off grid. And they're going to make beer. special thanks to John Edel, Abby Lundrigan, and The Plant (http://www.plantchicago.com) The Plant's kickstarter project for a lobby and retail space http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/351985395/the-plant-living-foyer Photography courtesy of Plant Chicago, NFP/Rachel Swenie. LOVE THIS!
-
I discovered this video 2 years ago. I felt sad to see that it got less than 300 views since...
-
I feel so inspired watching these videos.
-
This video gave me so much hope I almost teared up.
-
I see a new American industry
-
This whole thing sounds very expensive.
-
Am i the only one thinking that the plant looks like terminus the guy looks like he wants to eat greg.
-
She is beautiful

Does the biogas in the turbine generator have a lot of sulfur in it? Because that's the problem with reclaiming biogas from wastewater treatment plants and landfills.
-
The only thing that bothers me with their program is the "Kombucha brewery."
Products that purport to be amazing health substances but which really are complete bunk.... just puts a bad taste in my mouth over the entire operation. -
This is awesome but is there a way to keep the fish in a bigger environment so they have more room to swim?....Outside of that I love it.
-
i like that wouldnt mind working at a place like this i love working with plants and growing plants
-
I like the idea a lot, but the fish really don't have a good life, do they?

This is a very intelligent operation. If the regulatory authorities over it are anything like the control heirarchy over federal informants, then in my experience the information sent up to prove virtue to the regulatory authorities will simply be stolen and credited to someone else in the upper class and you will be without your activity eventually.
"But WTF," says the scum floating on the sea of us, "as long as everybody benefits."
But not everybody does. The talented become discouraged and give up. This is why nothing works and nobody cares except the vast, dumbed down majority involved in a class struggle simply to survive.
Coronate me militia chief officer in the National Cathedral, the Dormition Cathedral and Beijing and anywhere else there are people with the sense to do it, and I'll skim the scum and feed it to the plants. Obama and certain republicans and a variety of shits on the right and the left will end up flipping burgers somewhere throwing hateful remarks at customers from the griddle. -
this is awesome! !!! We need to teach people this way! ! Most people are so stuck on the linear system!
-
She's cute.
-
I like the idea!
-
Whoa, what kind of start up capital do these people have? Did it come from individual donations, corporations, or public?
-
how much red tape have they been able to get rid of?
-
farmers in general look for the best way to use resources.
