How Farming Works we run the same style machine but it's about half the length. What's the reason for it been so long ????

I bought a 27" 7.5" spacing many years ago from an IH dealer. He said I could not pull it with a John Deere 4850 mfd. He just had bias things to say about JD. Now I do no till mostly and with the larger JD that needs a 30 ft. and can not be spending so much for the limited times I use it. A disk is not meant to be pulled over 6 mph because it starts to float at high speeds. 2" deep seems to be shallow to pull very hard.

great vids thx

that came from 45 miles away from me i live in chenoa illinois and gibson city is 45 miles thats awesome
-
we have a 40 ft vertical till and i love it

I herd the comment "this is a dry weather tool" if your looking for a great tool to kinda cover your ass in wet ground is a Great Plains ultra till. I e never seen a tool that can chop stocks, fluff the ground, and require lower horsepower amounts
-
what is tillage
-
Glorified disk... hahahah says it will increase microbial action... news flash it won't.... and pulling it spring would be a bad bad bad idea... salford much better tool... the compaction cause in spring makes me sick to my stomach... salford straight blade not angled no compaction 30' 225 hp track tractor pulls it 10mph can push it and work wetter fields... that's just my opinion works better for my needs everyone's needs are different just thought I'd throw that out there

pissin that money away useless tool

Dude, you didn't see a red tractor you could buy?

The benefits of vertical tillage is not only chopping cornstalks but preserving soil structure so as to increase topsoil organic matter and the water storage capacity of the soil and the subsoil. Vertical tillage also helps to reduce or eliminate the "hard pan" layer which in turn allows plant roots to penetrate deeper into the soil so as to utilize deeper water reserves and nutrients. It also keeps water from running off as much as it happens with conventional tillage. Research has shown that corn yields can increase up to 17.5 bushels verses conventional tillage per acre depending on the weather conditions.

Thanks for filming the walk thru demo talk. It's nice to learn how farm equipment functions. Saying this as a non-farmer :-)

Can't wait to see this thing in action!
