Many inaccuracies in this movie but I ll let them find out the hard way. He's recommending several foods that will spike your insulin. All pastas and breads and potatoes will cause you to store fat. Eating good fats wont make fat and are healthy for you. This is just plain wrong. Where did he receive his nutrition education?

@VincentRSpicer I know! I wish I were more into cooking.

I haven't been able to completely give up meat and dairy, but I have dramatically reduced it. In fact the last time I had anything on my plate that came from a mother and father was on christmas day. I don't know if I'll ever be able to commit 100% to a plant strong lifestyle, but if I can at least hit say 99% I hope I'll be able to receive at least some of the benefits.

@maxfrederickson Congratulations on your desire to go vegetarian. We are glad you found the film inspiring. We are glad to have you in the FOK community!

I just finished watching the documentary Forks Over Knives. It has blown me out of the water. Nobody loves a prime grade of medium rare steak more than I do, but I'm taking meds for cholesterol and blood pressure. This documentary has me seriously considering, for the first time in my life, a vegetarian diet. But it will involve learning a whole new way of cooking and convincing others in my life to try it too. With everything else you have to give up, thank god wine is made from fruit.

forks over knives completely changed the way I think about food. I cannot stop talking about it and showing it to people. I also now have the biggest crush on Rip Esselstyn ; ) break me off a piece of that...

I have been vegan for years and have never seen such a large increase in the awareness of the benefits of a whole food plant based diet lifestyle in normal everyday people before. The credit goes to people like Rip and the creators of Forks Over Knives. I now just had people the DVD and watch them transform. You have save countless human and animal lives along with greatly reducing the environmental degradation of the planet. Thank you and keep up the great work!
