With a new government entering parliament in 2016, the odds of legalization, further criminalization or decriminalization of marijuana coming to fruition are still to be determined. But despite that, black market growers and grey market marijuana dispensaries are more prevalent than ever. And the sometimes dangerous, and legally dubious process of manufacturing weed oils and other concentrates is rising with growers investing tens of thousands of dollars to make sheets of potent pot wax. With the legal fate of weed still in the balance, VICE host Damian Abraham went to BC, the Wild West of Canadian chronic, visited grows operating illegally or semi-legally, met concentrate manufacturers making large quantities of oil in spite of the law, and checked in on the exploding dispensary scene that the federal Conservative government is trying to shut down. I love living here in bc vancouver is 45 mins away and I first heard of bho when I was 15 and started making it when I was 16 lol only had 1 explosion and that wasn't my fault I took all lighters away and my buddy asked to take a bong hoot I said sure if you go outside or in the kitchen by the window and the idiot says ok then lights the lighter 3 ft from the warm water cooking the bho and I have to say it was awesome my couch had a huge hole blown in it bits of carpet melted and the lid to the attic was pushed open so everytime after that I do it by myself no one else around just because stoners can be stupid at times but for doing it for nearly 10 years now I have it so perfect but I love making it more then smoking it same with bubble hash the process is just really fun for me

living in california i wonder if the small grower is in danger of becoming extinct due to the big growers/corporations taking over. with prop64 now in effect. it sounds like this could be a reality. i can see the retail stores also going away as well.
