In Terraria, by the end of the game, odds are that you'll want to farm large amounts of chlorophyte. If you're willing to travel to the jungle, plant countless torches, and fight off jungle enemies, then that's one way. But in Terraria you can also farm chlorophyte anywhere underground. If I were to build two of these chlorophyte farms near each other, how much space would I have to put between the edges of the mud squares?

This farm is incredibly inefficient. There's a limit to 41 blocks of chlorophyte ore per 70x70 area. This tiny farm won't produce more than 50 ores per harvest ever. You need to space out each seed about 38 blocks away from each other.

Mine just won't grow.
I put them exactly as you have them here
Cavern layer of underground snow biome (beneath my base)
I have tried 1 block apart and 30 blocks apart and they still won't grow!

The more chlorophyte in an area the smaller it grows, and I accidentally made a chlorophyte farm but putting one block far away from the jungle in a bunch of mud. The patch of ore gets huge because there isn't any other chlorophyte around it

Need to place these like 17-21 blocks apart otherwise they grow too slow to be called a farm
