Farms: Sustainability at Fair Oaks Farms
Productivity | Information | History | View | Quality
Fair Oaks Farms in northwest Indiana estimates it is taking 2 million gallons of diesel fuel off the road annually by converting the 1.5 million gallons of manure its cows produce daily into natural gas. That gas fuels its fleet of tanker trucks using Cummins Westport natural gas engines and much of its operations. Soon the dairy's sustainability story will be available on cummins.com. how is being milked raped by the farmer activist guy or girl?)(
-
Cows do not need to be milked. They only produce milk when pregnant (raped by the farmer) and the baby male calfs are taken away to be killed a day after birth so they don't drink up all the farmers profit. Would you, as an adult, drink the human breast milk of a stranger? Thats what your doing when you drink milk. Humans get calcium the same way cows do, from plants! :)

I would like to see policy that REQUIRES any industrial scale dairy factory farm to deal with its waste like this.
