I think the only problem I have with the entire story is that it leaves the viewer with the impression that all drafts are safe to walk up to. They're not. I'm a draft mama. My Percheron mare can be unmanageable (for others) when she's in season, or when she's just plain had enough of you. And that's one ton of "If I don't wanna, YOU can't make me." They can kill a person (as can a pony,) so I don't want inexperienced viewers thinking they can just walk up to a draft in a pasture and all will be in beautiful harmony with nature. It won't be. Especially if there are babies in the pasture. These Clydes have had exposure to many people from the moment they're born. They've been imprinted upon, and have no reason to fear humans. Not all drafts are this way. My only wish is that they would give some type of warning to the curious, non-horse owners that not all horses are this calm and safe to be around. And if you see a pasture with horses in it, it's not polite to stop your car, get out and "go pet the horses." Go to the door and ask. Nine times out of ten, the owner might let you give them a treat, and pet on them.

Although I don't drink their beer, big up to Budweiser for keeping this breed going, it's a UK breed now rarely seen in the UK as now it's becoming expensive to keep and they have few jobs left, not mechanized.

I'm surprised that a Clydesdale that doesn't make the cut for commercials sold in 2013 for around 5K. My ex and I took dressage lessons for 6 months (until circumstances changed that and I got a rescued dog). I was considering buying a horse - that was in 2002 and the average price was about 10K. I always rode a frumpy mare who was sassy and my ex rode this tall majestic black horse. We had to groom then, tack them up, clean their shoes before riding and for some reason I was always in front in the ring or outside - and my horse would poop big time, and it never failed that my now ex's horse stepped in all that poop I'd hear this swearing behind me - it was pretty funny. After the lessons, you removed all their gear, fed them apples and carrots, brush them, and he would be cursing under his breath, removing my horse's poop from his horse's shoes. It was a lot of fun, but boy you get grubby and dirty doing all that in a barn with clique birds on the rafters, an old cat and dog moshing around the barn and horses, but it was all so awesome to admire so many lovely horses! This video reminded me of that in a way

A beautiful, majestic and all around sweet animal, Busch Gardens has these awesome horses, and once you're standing next to them you get a sense just how big and how gentle they really are!

If I was ever own anther horse I'd like a Clydesdale or shire
-
at 3:47, that mare looks like she's sore on the front right. Limping a little.

I truly hope that when they retire, they go to green pastures

I love these horses and I love this commercial. I love watching them all year round. And let me tell you these horses don't need to be scared to do what they do. Horses are very smart and intelligent animals. Have you see the commercial where the little girl hits the horse and the horse pulls her hair and knocks her down. Don't underestimate an animal. You abuse them, they defend themselves. Treat them with respect and they will respect you. Have a nice day. Oh and i don't have a favorite. I love them all. But i love the snow ball fight. 😂😂😂

I am not a horse person but I went to see them when they were in my area. They are large and so beautiful. They had guards standing with them all and no one is allowed to touch them.If you have not seen them and get the chance go. You will be glad you did.

My sister has a Mare from the farm. She was one born with out the proscribed markings, Beautiful and living in North Carolina.

Would someone please tell me why Budweiser no longer makes the Clydesdale commercials? They no longer have a great one during the Super Bowl anymore either. Don't know whose idea it was to NO longer do them but they should be fired....:(((((
-
Great Job Bud! Keep it up. See ya at the next Superbowl
-
Since only male horses are accepted I am surprised there is not some weird feminist group protesting.
-
They're beautiful horses, so majestic!
-
What do they do with the baby horses that don't turn out like they want them? Like the babies that don't meet their standards?

When I was a kid living in Chicago, In the 1940's, I can remember The Clydesdale horses pulling the wagon with beer on it going down our little side street, I don't know why they were even there, I lived along Douglas park. I know there was a horse barn a couple of blocks away but those horses pulled wagons selling watermelons and also used by junk men, I doubt a Clydesdale horse were kept there, this happened twice. it was quite the thing.

Do they keep them stallions or make them geldings?

does Nightline know their anchor is cross-eyed?

Thank you Budweiser.
