The sun-dried raisin process, using Thompson grapes in Fresno County, is described by California Farm Manager Ken Peters. He goes through the steps, from preparing the vineyard floor, to picking and drying, and showing the finished product for Sun-Maid. He explains the elements - sun, temperature, hand-harvest and the like - that go into producing sun-dried raisins. We pick the grapes and put it to a different area for drying. I think its because of different climate or soil type maybe?? Why do u think is that?
