Preparing for Maple sugar open house weekend and the Whitingham Maple Festival, in a sugar house built in 1998 from materials entirely from the farm, with the exception of concrete, shingles and nails, the Wheelers work hard to produce some of the finest pure Vermont maple syrup in the area. The Wheeler Farm in Wilmington has been in operation since 1931. It is owned and operated by Henry and Carrie Wheeler and their sons, Rob Wheeler and John Wheeler, who all take a hand in the production of maple syrup, from the gathering of the sap, to the boiling and making of maple goods.
