Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"

been lovin" this Prine tune 4 over 30 years
-
Colbert is unworthy of John Prine.
-
I'm glad he brings such great artist on but isn't it a bit presumpitious to throw yourself on with them, he might have a great voice but he's not a musician like the people he brings on, it's kind of egotistical in my opinion. It'd be different if he had done something in music like the Johnny Cash show that makes sense but this is just Spotlight grabbing I feel like, let us listen to the artists and you do the show.

Happy enchiladas!
-
I don't watch Colbert, but damn the man's got good music taste. In between getting to sing with Costello, Violent Femmes, and now Prine. Lucky irish catholic bastard.
-
I saw prine at the hanford fox theater in California back in the 90s, very gifted musician, deserves more credit than he gets
-
I think your TV audience might be in need of this clip right about now...
-
alright, time to cheer up the world
-
I love that Stephen is a John Prine fan; makes me like him more. I'd love to see him do a medley of Prine tunes like he did with Gordon Lightfoot when he was moving to Canada.
-
Well people need cheering up now, hah!
-
Love it!!!!
-
I just love how Stephen's changes to his country accent/
-
10 viewers think the world doesn't go 'round

This is amazing. I knew Stephen could sing, but this is amazing. I've never been a fan of country music, but this is folky and Stephen makes it work. I haven't stopped listening to it for the past 2 days.
