(www.abndigital.com) Hundreds of South African farmers could take up the offer of buying freehold land in Georgia. The former Soviet republic is offering 88 thousand hectares of cheap land to skilled South African farmers in a bid to boost its economy. That's the word from the Transvaal Agricultural Union which recently sent a delegation to Tblisi to check out prospects. ABN's senior journalist, Chris Bishop, reports from the De Wildt farming region near Pretoria.

you are wrong. read up on "difaqane" or "mfeqane"... it was the ethnic cleansing of South Africa by the Zulu tribes in the mid 19th century which created vast empty stretches of land in SA. this led to the Great Trek. Non-Zulu chieftains asked the Trekboers for assistance in getting rid of tribal enemies in exchange for land. It seems that fact is comfortably forgotten by mainstream (neo-liberal) media. I know it's wrong what's happening to some of those farmers, but just look at some of the sick shit they did to the blacks they took all that land from? People just hear the reports and assume they are just slaying whites for fun, but those could be the children who got evacuated coming back for whats theirs. Even if those farmers weren't aggressive towards blacks(...right) they still accepted stuff that didn't belong to them. That will always come back to bite you in the ass in the long run.

@houtgeweer Boers under the AWB should understand that today is about sharing and working together and the old days are done. learn to share, work with everybody becuase running away is'nt going to solve the mess of your parents they created in SA for almost 100-200yrs. If you can pay attention and read the Lesgilation of Apartheid of South Africa and understand what its legacy left behind you will understand why SA has been having difficulty in moving forward fast.
