I'm surprised you don't require river rocks or stones... If the hatching rate is 50% the spawning female perhaps didn't get enough to eat prior...in the new tank....that is airiated or theres way too much airiation or something missing there....the size of the tank too makes a difference....that's a lot of little spawners and spawnees....and not enough space. The shape of the tanks makes a difference....if you improve water circulation soo much that everything falls and must go to the bottom and the same location...then you smother them...I think....
