Farms: San Diego Unified Expands California Farm To School Food Program

San Diego Unified School District is setting ambitious goals for its cafeterias. KPBS education reporter Matt Bowler says the district is trying to raise the bar on school food. Last year San Diego Unified started California Thursdays at 20 schools. Every Thursday those schools served students fresh produce grown in California. Now that program is in every district school, more than 220 schools.
