how long do you wait to wean your kits? that kit in with your doe is huge!!! I usually wean @ around 6wks of age but everyone is different

I've found that if I feed hay during the day & pellet feed at night they'll eat the grass hay after they get used to it, usually a few days & they're good to go... the Timothy hay costs me around $16 per bale where I can buy grass hay for around $4-$6 year round

A cheap way to reduce the heat of your shed is to have canopy over it to shade it.
-
Don't mind Dude but you must have to put Baby Wire At the bottom of the cage

Where did you get that hat?

Came here for rabbits. Subscribed for the neck tattoo.

Just came from another video where the guy said that putting males in with females might set the females off, but doing it the other way around=not so much. Not sure if that's true, but if so, maybe that's what went wrong with that stud's ear getting Mike-Tysoned.

Do you have any tips/video links to keeping your rabbits alive through the summer?

I watch all your video's I love your rabbits I just got a pair of pure white albino Flemish giants the doe was born in 2014 I have no idea when the buck was born but he is almost her size so he has to be around 6 months of age or older. they do have a case of ear mites but I am treating that with a shot of IVERMEC I always used that with my other does when they got it and it would not come around again for a year.

Very informative. This is just what I was looking for. Thank you for a good video.

be very very careful with the alfalfa. My cousin didn't realize that the pellets have alfalfa in them and gave her rabbit tons of the pellets and only the alfalfa hay and no fresh greens and it ended up killing the rabbit. I was a lionhead breeder for several years and that is the breed her rabbit was and she wouldn't listen to me because her dad fed his meat rabbits tons of alfalfa hay so she thought i was nuts. :) very nice info tho.

Great video! Glad that I found your channel. I want to start raising our own meat this year and am definitely leaning towards rabbits. Since we are only into our 2nd year of building our homestead I think that it is a much more feasible and cost effective option than larger meat animals.
