I Want Bacon and I Want it Now!!

Nowadays it's a freak farm where they confine these intelligent animals in cages, I used to work in this field as a kid, it's vile and one of the worst job on planet earth, had nightmares for years after, my parents were obviously not rational when they commited a child to such an environment. The crates and pens get washed with high pressure boiling hot water, you'll spend a good day washing a weeks worth of crates, multiple trips to the fridge to avoid overheating in that sauna atmosphere.

Things were just done so much better back then... until greedy farmers started cramming them into small pens to up production and then feed them on steriods and other things to make them bigger or fatter, caring a lot less about the animals and more about the bacon :( I learned a lot from this about pig keeping, got good idea's, and the commentator and cheesy music reminded me of a Disney movie or something!

"Woods where they fed on acorns" "plenty of exercise"
Not any more. They are feed grain, and hormones and kept in concert pens. Lucky if they even see day light. -
they never covered waste management

Two words: Polska Kieldbasa.

The only thing I find intolerable is cutting their teeth. that must hurt terribly. HOwver, these hogs are well-cared for compared to current practices. my god how we have become heartless and cruel.

This is how farming should be for the overall wellness of the pig. When the narrator said "excercise" is an important factor and they should have plenty of space to move around, which is the opposite of today's pig farms where they are caged in and can barely move.

Those pigs I don't think were knowing going to their deaths, thinking they were going to a new farm had no idea they were headed to slaughter. Slaughter I sure is no different in 1950 to 2015 Slaughter is Slaughter it is painfull.
