Cavalier Women Place Fourth at Panorama Farms Invitatonal Mulhern finished 15th overall Sept. 23, 2016 EARLYSVILLE, Va.—The No. 14 UVA women’s cross country team finished fourth at the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational Friday morning (Sept. 23) at Panorama Farms in Earlysville. Virginia finished in fourth with a score of 127 points. No. 19 BYU won the 5,000-meter race with 47 points, while SMU was second (89) and No. 16 Syracuse was third (98). “We appreciate everyone that came to compete here today, many from a great distance,” UVA women’s cross country coach Todd Morgan said. “Our group made the most of the day and competed hard. Now we know where we are and have our sights on where we need to be for the championship portion of the season.” Sophomore Emily Mulhern (Ijamsville, Md.) finished 15th overall in 17:40.4 to lead UVA across the line, while graduate student Beth Hawling (Cheltenham, Great Britain) was 18th in 17:45.6 in her Virginia debut. Graduate student Sarah Astin (Isle of Man, Great Britain was 24th, while junior Megan Rebholz (Stafford, Va.) and freshman Emma Call (Richmond, Va.) rounded out the scoring five, placing 32nd and 38th, respectively. Next up, the Cavaliers compete in the Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 15 in Terre Haute, Ind.
