Check out our website PADELLdotORG for more pictures of the farm and tobacco growing. Anthony Padelskas grew "cigar wrapper" tobacco in the Connecticut Valley area of Connectituct, specifically East Granby CT. He and his wife Julia Puterius bought their farm on South Main Street in the early 1920's They had about 10 acres of land as well as leasing other fields. They started with horse power as well as working the fields by hand. Most of the area grew " shade grown " tobacco.
