Chuckanut Drive is a popular day trip destination for Oyster lover. Chuckanut Drive's Taylor Shellfish Farm sells fresh oysters and other seafood that you can take home with you or enjoy at the water's edge in their picnic area. You can buy charcoal there or bring your own. There are also restaurants along Chuckanut drive that serve fresh local oysters. Some of the Chuckanut area restaurants have opened and closed in recent years so you may want to do some research online if you are planing to have a sitdown lunch overlooking Chuckanut Bay. One of the main attractions to Chuckanut Drive is the fact it is a winding, narrow, and rocky coastal road. RV's and other large vehicles are not allowed on the southern portion of the road. If you are in an RV bound for Larrabee State park you need to travel to Bellingham and drive south on Chuckanut Dr. to the Park.
