Farms: Official Ram Trucks Super Bowl Commercial "Farmer"

And on the eighth day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, "I need a caretaker." So God made a farmer. God said, "I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the field, milk cows again, eat supper, then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the school board." So God made a farmer. God said, "I need somebody willing to sit up all night with a newborn colt and watch it die, then dry his eyes and say,'Maybe next year,' I need somebody who can shape an ax handle from an ash tree, shoe a horse with hunk of car tire, who can make a harness out hay wire, feed sacks and shoe scraps. Who, during planting time and harvest season will finish his 40-hour week by Tuesday noon and then, paining from tractor back, put in another 72 hours." So God made the farmer. God said, "I need somebody strong enough to clear trees and heave bales, yet gentle enough to yean lambs and wean pigs and tend the pink-comb pullets, who will stop his mower for an hour to splint the leg of a meadowlark." It had to be somebody who'd plow deep and straight and not cut corners. Somebody to seed, weed, feed, breed, and brake, and disk, and plow, and plant, and tie the fleece and strain the milk, . Somebody who'd bale a family together with the soft, strong bonds of sharing, who would laugh, and then sigh and then reply with smiling eyes when his son says that he wants to spend his life doing what Dad does. "So God made a farmer."

This video was played at my brother in law's funeral - September 17, 2016. He passed away the day after his 67th birthday. He ran out family farm. Now his son runs the farm that has been in the family for mire than 100 years - my grandfather's homestead. God bless you, Murray.

Being the farm boy I am, this makes me cry every time. "I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the field, milk cows again, eat supper, then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the school board." is 100% accurate.

Cringe.

Does anyone remember the commercial where they are building a fat ass cabin towing a bunch of logs up a bumpy road?

chrysler makes the best ads

As an atheist... I agree with this beautiful sentiment in its entirety.

i would spend every weekend out in the fields with my pap and when we would come home he would always tell stories about his days of farmin, how he met my grandma, and to this day you would never know the struggle he was going through living and earning every penny he had. not a day goes by that i regret staying in the family buisiness 👍.

Does not get better than that

How could anyone not like this

I used to listen to Paul Harvey on ABC News when I was going to middle school, so listening to his news reports on the way to the school was almost like a muscle synapse, because when Paul Harvey spoke, it was almost like a teacher talking to his student. When this aired during Super Bowl 47, I had not heard that voice for over ten years, and was enough for me to pull myself out of my bedroom and come to see it being used in such tactful fashion on this commercial. His voice still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

It is about the farmers, (And Ram Trucks) but it really is Paul Harvey's voice that makes you listen and care.
-
Quite possibly the most touching commercial ever
-
There is no god but keep working. I love my free food assholes.

the first time in my life i applauded a commercial God Bless farmers they are the real rock stars of our society

What makes the ad, which in the industry is called a "brand statement" ad, is Paul Harvey's narration. This was speech he did several decades ago at a framers convention. It was on point then as much as it is today.
