51% of all renewable energy in Germany is owned by individual citizens or farms, totaling $100 billion worth of private investment in clean energy. Intelligent power grids is only part of the solution. Storing energy for high demand times is currently the problem. The ancient solution of pumping water to higher lakes and then powering generators takes time, money, and reasonable locations in mountains to create these storage lakes. Other methods are being currently investigated (such as liquid nitrogen storage, ice storage, and some even more esoteric methods). But most importantly, get the people involved. In effect: grass roots movement.

Versteh ich. Mir gefallen die Grünen auch nicht, weil sie zu extrem in die ökorichtung tendieren würde, auch wenn es wirtschaftlich und sachlich nicht nachvollziehbar ist. Das momentane Tempo finde ich gut, es ändert sich ständig nach vorne aber nicht zu extrem. Wenn Müntefering der Kandidat der sPD wäre, dann wäre das ne richtige Wahl wo man überlegen muss, aber mit Steinbrück.... Schade, finde die SPD hat da bessere Leute als Steini, oder Gabriel. Und das die Roth noch da ist, ist ein Witz

You have to understand that there are a lot of ignorant people in this country...most Americans are self-obsessed...thinking that the world is and will always look up to them and be dependent of the United States. Of course a lot of Americans are also biased. I have been to other countries so the way I see my country in comparison to the world is not biased and not clouded by American propaganda. I know better. Reading also helps.

Rot kann nur höchstwarscheinlich nur mit Grün gewinnen, und dann wird das ganze noch krasser umgesetzt als bisher. Wäre nicht das Schlechteste, aber ich hoffe, dass es die CDU wieder macht. Nicht weil ich CDU-Fan währe (Piraten <3), aber ein erneuter politischer Umschwung würde dem Land mehr schaden als nützen.

dafür muss aber die politik bleiben die momentan herrscht. Ich bin mir nicht sicher ob wenn die momentane rote Führung in Berlin einziehen würde, ob sie weiter so machen würde wie es die CDU jetzt gemacht hat UND die spd damals noch mit Herr Scheer (der eigentich der Vater der Energiewende ist)

Solar's cheap right now, $1.25/W for PV + $0.75/W for micro inverters = $2/W, plus building a platform and connecting the AC to your home. Next the utility inspects it and gives you a meter that runs backwards. Your bill can be zero if you make as much power as you use over a month (or over the year--months rollover). But in many US places your bill can't be negative. So, what do you to increase usage, get value from that usage, and so get more value from your array? Buy an EV.
