SOUNDBITE(English) Charles Chakoma, General Manager TN Livestock Trust: "If you look at it in Zimbabwe we have something like 5 million cattle and 4 million of those are owned by the communal people. Yet we say that they are poor. If you put a value of say 300 US dollars onto one cattle, they are into billions. So that's a resource, which is not being utilised. The farmers just have the cattle, they don't any leeway to access anything. They can't securitise them, unless they sell the cattle then they get money out of it but you see that animal is already gone. So we are giving them a chance to get onto the financial system and to be able to have financial inclusion." Domboshava Communal lands - 20 May 2013 19. Wide of farmers pushing cow into trailer 20.
