Let's have a history lesson for the uninformed. In the beginning of last century the us grains and corn crops started mechanizing. Infact the combine which is the cornerstone of us agriculture harvest was invented in the US. That's why they call the us "the bread basket of the world". Mexico never mechanized to that extent and this is why they are being devastated by US corn. Blame Mexico for not investing in technology.

Nafta is the main cause of illegal immigration, and is killing the middle class on both sides of border.

I can smell the burnt almonds already. Uncle Adolf would appreciate it if you went and lit the pilot lite, because this trains next stop is Auschwitz. Fascism in it's most blatant form.

NAFTA pretty much did an unwanted flip flop on the US and Mexican economies. Mexico's economy is 60% agriculture. When NAFTA was passed in 1993 this lowered price of crops, and destroyed the competition in Mexican markets because American companies can out produce Mexican farms. The negative impact on the USA is the elimination of factory jobs because the cost of having a factory in Mexico is significantly cheaper with the workers there only paid 1/6 of what it would cost their American counter parts.

+Darth HeyZues Ahh, the beauty of the free market. Thank you.

So basically through US taxpayer subsidy US farmers have been encouraged to dramatically overproduce. Through free trade policy this corn is available on the Mexican market at extremely uncompetitive prices. US Corporate profits soar, Mexican farmers start loosing money and land. US Corporations start investing in failed farms and thus taking them over. Now the food supply of Mexico is dramatically dependent on US imports.

I don't get it. Can someone explain this in layman's terms?
-
The economics and trade blocs and integration are a shit, the "blocs" destroy the sovereignty in the countries The integration is a wrong idea
-
NAFTA is a dangerous shit , in a referendum the people could say: NOT the integration in NAFTA

I recently posted Henry A. Kissinger's 18 July 1993 L.A. Times editorial on NAFTA. Look for this, it's at my web site "No Snow in Moscow": "With NAFTA, U.S. Finally Creates a New World Order 18 July 1993 By Henry A. Kissinger FULL TEXT". Says Kissinger: "NAFTA. What Congress will have before it is not a conventional trade agreement but the architecture of a new international system." He was mincing words. It's not a trade agreement at all, it's the basis of continental union.
