Farms: More Women Running US Farms

Traditionally in the United States, women played important roles on the family farm helping their father or husband. But a recent Census shows the number of farms run by women is rising. Many of these women were drawn to farming from totally different careers. They now enjoy bringing healthy and flavorful foods to local markets. VOA's June Soh visited farms in the eastern US state of Maryland and has the report. Amy Katz narrates.

These are more the type of women I'm interested in. These are the types of personalities that desire "Independence", and who realize that being your own boss, or rather I should say, being guided by market forces/"Law of Nature", is more important than money. This is why I originally wanted to be Clinical Psychologist in private practice, focusing mostly on consulting, however, the more you learn, the more realistic your goals become, and the fact that your government is extremely corrupt.
