My parents moved to Monroe County in 2006. We all thought they were crazy to move that far out. Now after spending lots of time visiting, they chose well. This is one of my favorite places to visit. We fish and play in Indian Creek every summer. All of their grandchildren love to visit from the very young to the teenagers. They disconnect from technology and play outdoors for hours. We take them to community picnics, community fundraising events, Moncove Lake, visiting their friend that raises dairy goats, and their favorite activity is square dancing. Monroe County is truly beautiful and filled with the greatest people you would ever have the privilege to meet.
