How to build a slime farm tutorial for minecraft 1.7.4, works in minecraft 1.9. I decided to build it as a mob xp farm because mojang could change the slimeball drop to only drops when killed by player so with this design we are on the safe side. it is a simple bu relatively large build. I use 3 wide water currents to move the slimes to a slime reducer. and then force the little ones to climb up ladders to where we want to deal with them. I did everything you stated in MC 1.8.7 and the large slimes break, and the middle ones are not drowning? And I was wondering can I use the same water transport system to move the slime to another spot or am I limited to an amount of chunks or blocks... thanks for any help you can provide???
Also I have a 2x2 slime chunk area connect does this change anything? -

I can't seem to get the slimes up the ladder. Does the water need to go all the way up to the ladder, or can there be a blank block between the ladder and the water?

What level is your room on? How far down are is the water currents from the original platforn?

My problem is getting them spawning. I have a 4 block tall room in a slime chunk, the ground is at y32. I have torches so they won't spawn. Before, I didn't have torches, and mobs spawned so I put torches to light it up. They don't spawn. I got maybe 30 blocks up in the air from there and wait maybe a minute, they still don't spawn. What do I do??????!!!!!!
