This is a proof of concept for an automatic wheat farm that does not require you to replant the seeds. One push of a button lets you collect your wheat out of a chest and go on your way! A villager automatically replants the seeds and gets locked up before he can break the grown wheat. This build has a locking/unlocking door, water dispensers on a hopper timer, a sorting system to separate the wheat from the seeds and an item elevator that pushes the seeds to the surface for the villager to collect and plant.

I'm wondering, how far can a villager stray from the house to replant wheat? I'm fairly red stone savvy and I would like to make it at least 8 times bigger. And any good redstone ideas for that?

Could you make a 1.9 updated version of this? Also with the item elevator my seeds get stuck on top of the hopper, any solutions?

Hey!
I've used this tutorial 3 times now, however does it still work in 1.9?
When my seeds go down the water to the sorting system, they get stuck on top of the hoppers and do not proceed to go down the path to the lift.
However, I threw some seeds down the list to see if it would work but it simply got stuck at the end of it by the fence posts.
Do you know why this would be happening? Like I said this is the 3rd time I've followed your tutorial to the T.
