The Winkel family has expanded their dairy farm over the years to accommodate their growing numbers. With 13 working family members, there are plenty of hands to go around. The family now cares for more than 900 animals on their dairy farm in Michigan, making them a CAFO (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation). With so many people working on the farm, the Winkels are able to provide constant care and attention for their cows, heifers and calves, with each family member specializing in an area they're passionate about -- from caring for the calves, managing the crops and land, or watching over the milking herd. As with all Michigan dairy farms, the Winkel family takes pride in producing milk that is fresh, natural and local.
