Flying W Farms Mares Summer 2015; Flying W Farms herd of "Lake Valley Mares"; We believe in raising horses in a natural setting and as close to being free as possible. The Lake Valley pasture consists of 400 acres of rolling hills and valley with lush grass, lots of shade, and a lovely lake. There is a large barn the mares can go in if they want, but they seldom do. We raised most of these mares over the years. Some are old mares, long ago retired from breeding. A few are two and three year old fillies, still to young to breed. You will also see mares with foals at side; The foals are all for sale. If you see a foal you like, please let us know. It may still be available. Our foals are imprinted at birth and then set free to run and play with other foals their age. They are people friendly but they also learn to be horses during this first summer of their lives. We bring them in at weaning time, teach them to lead, tie and load quietly.
