A devastating fire gutted Milford Fabricating in 2009, destroying a family-owned business that took 62 years to build. Instead of being defeated by tragedy, the Pohl family honored the memory of founder Edward Senior and rebuilt the metal works factory in less than a month. Today, the company counts Sikorsky, Pitney Bowes, and medical giant Perkin Elmer among its customers. The fourth generation of the Pohl family is now working for the company, continuing a tradition that started in 1947 when Ed Senior left Sikorsky as a welder to set up shop in his own garage.
