This is a photo video of my life on a self sufficien farm in Northern Ky. We cooked on a wood cook stove, and live with out most of the modern "toys" that almost everybody has. Beautiful place you have there. I am from Marion County area, but we moved to Charleston SC and I have a 10 acre farm here. I miss being back home in KY, and all of my family is there, so I still come back to visit. Thank you for sharing the way you have things set up for homesteading.

the preacher came by for Sunday dinner after a walk around the prosperous farm the preacher remarked to the farmer that it was a mighty fine farm that he and the Lord had built here the farmer remarked back at him sure wasn't much to look at when the Lord had it by himself

May GOD continue to bless U & Ur family. I know this life is awesome & takes a lot of hard work! The payoff is absolutely great. Food is so much better & hard work keeps U healthier...GOD keeps U safer, happier,& free from earthly demands. Keep up the great work & May GOD always get the glory for Ur wealth! From all that I can see- U r extremely wealthy!

Part -3. That is, we got out of Gods way and followed, listened, and obeyed! Easy to say, but hard to do when we think that we are in control! Let me just say again, God gets the glory, for without him we would still be living check to check, without the FULL BLESSING that He wants to give for being obedient children. We stayed at Heritage Farm for 2 years, and then was called on by God to move back closer to family in s. Central Ky. We still live a God dependent lifestyle, Chase married last year and is currently finishing their debt-free home on 28 acres, a part of the 70 acres we owned. He started his house three years ago, and has worked hard to save, build, save, build, save , build. He has seen the blessings of knowing no man anything but LOVE.
So the story continues to the next generation and prayerfully beyond!!!
May your journey of life start with full submission to the God of us all, and your rewards be even greater than ours.
Peace by with you,
Gil Saxton -
Part -2 The farm sold for almost twice the amount that three different auctioneers thought it would bring! Praise The Lord! That allow us to be debt free, but to travel this beautiful country for the better part of a year, in search of where God wanted us to be next. After traveling 33 states and into Canada, we came back to Kentucky to be close to family and old friends. This farm we called Heritage Farm, was not even on the market, but after a realtor showing us several properties, she asked me to disrobe what was in my mind..
When I did, she said oh mu gosh, I know that place, it was her high school teachers farm in Meade County , Ky. And she had just spoke to him the week before at a high school football game and he told her since he was retired, he was going to sell and downsize. She set up an appointment for us to look at the farm, a cash price was agreed on, and we moved in the spring of 2008. My point in telling this very lengthily story was to show it was God leading. I am Chase's dad, Gil Saxton, and would like to answer some questions that have been asked in the comments.
First of all, we give GOD ALL the CREDIT for allowing us to live on this beautiful farm and the lifestyle.
We were called out to be free of debt in 2007 when we owned a 110 acre farm in South Central Kentucky. That farm was equally beautiful, butI was working 60 hours a week as a carpenter and trying to farm a little too, but was still under the slavery of debt.
So after the conviction of the Holy Spirit to owe no man anything but LOVE, we placed Bear Creek Farm up for auction. We keep the Sabbath Day of rest as stated, in the Bible, Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset, so we could not sell on the Sabbath Day. We had three different auctioneers tell us that we would not have any body show up for an auction in the middle of the week. We felt that this was a God thing, and we would be blessed if we honored the fourth commandment . Continue next comment- part 2 -
We could all live this way if it wasn't for the greedy Rothschild Zionist gangsters who OWN the "federal reserve" bank that prints OUR money that is NOT federal at ALL ...They control all the things that matter...They are the ones who would illegally own your land if you did not pay them tax ...They own the Western Hemisphere...Illegally because they stole it and wrote Legalities that says it's theirs...All Authority is Evil. Let that sink in...

Stop killing Animals...They have the same consciousness as we all have in this beautiful universe...A mother Cow feels the same as a human would to have its calf ripped from her...
-
Don't need to kill animals, you can live on potatoes and canned vegs and milk and eggs.

Such a beautiful place...I must say I'm a little jealous :) I think it's awesome that you live self sufficiently like this...I have a little hobby farm (if you can call 1 acre that) that I try to make more self sufficient every year but of course w/only one acre it will never be totally so, but the journey is one that is fulfilling...and yes, God must always be first lifting us up and showing us the way....

Well, now I'm in tears. Reminded me so much of the homestead where I raised my 6 kids; 30 years gone now, but I'd go back in a minute. I'm assuming you no longer live there - hope someone does. Thank you.
-
This reminded me a lot of my time in North Carolina. Very similar looking country.
