In recent months there has been a push to legalize hemp farming in America. Some say it's a clean, sustainable crop that's easy to grow, and would help the ailing economy. Others say legalizing it will only complicate the country's current war on drugs. KUSI's Bridget Naso has more on the controversial crop in part one of a two-part special report.

This could greatly help the US economy. Hemp is a very efficient crop to grow and it can be used for so many things. It is truly a miraculous and wonderful herb. It's a shame all the misleading anti marijuana propaganda is getting in the way.

I hate hearing legalize marijuana what people should be focused on is hemp and hemp is not marijuana in fact you cant get high off hemp however you can make more durable clothes oil paper and even a house can be built out of hemp the list can go on and on in fact 80 percent of the u.s. paper materials used to be made from hemp so what happened a ban was made and thus the criminalization of hemp began all because the power system feeds on lies.
