Susan Oguya is Co-Founder and COO of M-farm, Kenya, a profit-making mobile-based service that lets farmers access prices and connect with buyers using their mobile phones. Since Susan and two friends set the company up in 2010 it has grown to support 15,000 farmers. These farmers connect with markets - getting prices, selling their goods, and receiving payments - all with a mobile phone. By helping farmers access markets, M-farm has helped boost farmer incomes, allowing them to access better health and education for their families too. Boosting Africa’s agriculture has positive knock-on effects for society, because two thirds of Africans depend on farming for their livelihoods. And African companies such as M-farm are helping African farmers unlock their full potential. Find out more here: http://bit.ly/1zL1kWv
